The Education Resource Information Center (ERIC) is a federally funded "Internet-based service providing education information to teachers, librarians, counselors, administrators, parents, and anyone interested in education throughout the United States and the world." The website offers an AskERIC service that will answer specific homework questions within 48 hours. Also offered are archived lists of past questions, which are categorized and searchable.

Bartleby.com
The Bartleby website is a searchable portal enabling students to search a variety of encyclopedias, almanacs, biographical resources and dictionaries. In addition to the reference collection, this site also features fiction, non-fiction, anthologies and writing resources. Students can search the entire collection or pick specific portions for information.

Big Chalk
Big Chalk is an online homework help center with services for parents, students, teachers and librarians. The portal is searchable by subject and grade level and offers students a variety of tutorials and learning options.

Biography
Companion website to the A&E television network, this site offers a database of over 25,000 historical and famous biographies. The website is searchable by name and offers highlighted biographies relating to current events.

Blue Web'N
This "blue ribbon" website offers an online library of more than 1,700 websites categorized by staff and sponsored by SBC Knowledge Explorer. Site are arranged by subject, grade level and format, including lesson plans, activities, projects, resources, references and tools. Blue Web'N is also searchable by grade level, subject area and specific sub-categories.

Cleveland Public Library's Homework Help
The Cleveland Public Library's homework help website offers live tutors, librarians and information professionals for real-time help with homework problems from 2pm - 10pm. Students must enter their zip code to connect via online chat.

Family Education.com
Sponsored by the Family Education Network, this website offers resource sections for small children, school-age children and teens. Family Education.com provides resources for parents interested in helping their children with homework and assignments. The site also presents ideas for better time management, for speaking to children about sensitive current events and expert advice about common childhood issues. Additionally, the website includes guides for parents looking for quality entertainment & games or a guide to summer camp preparation & selection.

High School Hub
High School Hub is a learning portal for all things high school. The website features quality free online educational resources for high school students as well as subject guides for English, foreign languages, math, science and social studies. It also includes interactive learning games, puzzles and quizzes.

Infonation
This United Nations website provides information about the nations of the world. Students can select up to seven countries at a time and receive information including the latest county statistics for 2002 and bar graphs featuring statistical data. This site is an excellent tool for comparing and contrasting populations and economies.

Information Please
The Info Please website offers students the option of searching the whole website or restricting their search specifically to almanacs, biographies, encyclopedias or dictionaries. This comprehensive site gives students the ability to find information about one topic from a variety of reliable sources.

Internet Public Library Teenspace
The Internet Public Library's Teenspace website features indexes of websites on the subjects of Arts & Entertainment, Books & Writing, Clubs & Organizations, College & Career, Computers & Internet, Dating & Stuff, Health, Homework Help, Issues & Conflicts, Money Matters, Sports and Style. Also available is a special section offering tips, advice and a step-by-step guide to writing a research paper, as well as, the Ask-A-Librarian section where user can submit questions for advice from a real librarian.

The Librarians Index to the Internet offers links to outstanding websites discovered and maintained by librarians. The index is divided by subject and fully searchable.
