The History Channel's website offers a comprehensive look at issues that shaped US and world history. The site is searchable by subject and features specific sites dedicated to this day in history, historical speeches, discussion boards and a classroom section with study guides and downloads. The Historical speeches section offers an alphabetical list of pertinent historical speeches that can be downloaded and listened to using RealPlayer.

National Archives Digital Classroom
The National Archives Digital Classroom website offers links to historic US documents and tips for teaching with them. The site also sponsors documents that are specifically pertinent to current events and historical anniversaries.

New York Times Learning Network
