The Education Resource Information Center (ERIC) is a federally funded "Internet-based service providing education information to teachers, librarians, counselors, administrators, parents, and anyone interested in education throughout the United States and the world." The website offers an AskERIC service that will answer specific homework questions within 48 hours. Also offered are archived lists of past questions, which are categorized and searchable.

The Bartleby website is a searchable portal enabling students to search a variety of encyclopedias, almanacs, biographical resources and dictionaries. This site is an excellent tool for comparing and contrasting populations and economies.

All sorts of great kid's sites online, compiled by librarians at the Colorado State Library. In addition to the sites organized by subject, the website also offers instruction on how to properly search the web. This instruction includes specific lessons on searching for images and sound.
